Our home is located in Hermitage, the Southern part of Carriacou, just about a 1/4 mile beyond where the paved road ends. Providing a perfect mix of accessibility and remoteness, walking distance to several deserted beaches, the 2 best supermarkets, yet virtually no traffic. Carriacou residents still wave and greet you when they pass by -- the genuine old-school Caribbean is alive and well here! Beaches, Diving, Sailing
Tyrell Bay, Harveyvale, Manchineel Bay, and Cabouit beaches are all a very short walk from our doorstep. Windward, Lauriston, Mt. Pleasant and others are just a short ride away. World-class diving or snorkeling, kite sailing, hiking the seaside cliffs, or just a Hammock in the Trades, can be your daily routine, here in Carriacou.
The Property
Our lot is 43,660 sq ft, half of it flat, with the seaside half on a slope looking out over Manchineel beach and the Atlantic-side islands (White & Saline). We converted a 43 ft. container into a gardening shed with a porch and a garage, electricity & running water. There's also another 20 ft. container on a cement foundation for tools, workbenches, & storage
